The Pittsburg Board of Trustees normally meets the third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room at the Central Administration Office. The public is invited to attend all meetings.

Pittsburg Independent School District officials announced that the district received a rating of "Superior Achievement" under Texas' new Schools FIRST financial accountability rating system. The Superior Achievement rating is the state's highest, demonstrating the quality of Pittsburg ISD's financial management and reporting system. | Under the accountability provisions in the No Child Lift Behind (NCLB) Act, all public school Campuses, school districts, and the state are evaluated for Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP).
