Dr. Mary McKinney - Board President
Dr. Mary McKinney is practically a lifelong resident of Pittsburg, Texas. She currently serves as Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at Jarvis Christian College. Prior to assuming her current position, Dr. McKinney was the chair of the Division of Freshman Studies.
Dr. McKinney has experience as a public school teacher and is well-versed in educational issues. She is the mother of five children, all of whom are graduates of Pittsburg High School.
Dr. McKinney has served on the Board of Trustees for the Pittsburg Independent School District for 18 years. Dr. McKinney is a graduate of Texas College. She completed her Master's degree at Texas A&M at Commerce and earned her doctoral degree from Kansas State University.
Dr. McKinney has served on the school board since April, 1983.
