Pittsburg Independent School District officials announced that the district received a rating of "Superior Achievement" under Texas' new Schools FIRST financial accountability rating system. The Superior Achievement rating is the state's highest, demonstrating the quality of Pittsburg ISD's financial management and reporting system.

PITTSBURG ISD ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE.

THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.34% AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON AT $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $36.62
